This is a reliable starting point for a clean, sweet V60. Keep the pour gentle and use the drawdown time as a clue rather than a rule.

The brew

Follow the pour, then taste

  1. 01Heat water to 94°C (201°F).
  2. 02Fold filter, place in dripper, rinse with hot water.
  3. 03Add 15g medium-fine ground coffee.
  4. 04Pour 30g water for bloom (30s).
  5. 05Slowly pour remaining 220g water in circles (2:30-3:00 min total brew).
  6. 06Swirl and serve.
